Hiya forums, I very recently enabled 2-step verification on my Google account, being security-minded and all. During this process, the site kindly told me that I'd need to authorise this action with any apps that use my Google details, such as the Gmail app on my HTC Wildfire S phone. Thinking this was all great and cool, I set up the verification on my account. Now comes the problem: I can't log out of my Gmail account on my phone. I need to log out to log back in with the new auth code. The app has been refusing to sync ever since I enabled 2-step a few hours ago; a steady stream of emails as appeared in my Gmail, and yet, the phone won't acknowledge any of it. So, does anyone know how to enter a 2-step app authorisation code on an HTC Wildfire S running Android 2.3.3 and Gmail 126.96.36.199 with only one account on the phone? The last time the app stopped syncing (for reasons that remain unexplained), I had to return the phone to factory settings to get it to co-operate. If there's a way around having to do that here, I would absolutely love to know. Internet prizes are a total secret until answers are recieved or confirmed, and even then probably won't extend beyond super amazing YouTube videos of a cute animal of your choice. Red panda is my preference but hey, we're all different. Any help would be supremely appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: Resolved issue under own steam. Feel like gigantic moron. Thanks anyway! I'd link to some cute internet animals here, but it says I'm too new. So just imagine them, or set out to find them solo. Live long and prosper.
