Last night my phone started playing the Gmail notification sound over and over, and hasn't stopped since. I don't know exactly when it started as I wasn't in the room. I had installed a couple of new apps, which I promptly removed. Still have the looping email ding. I then removed another app which uses that sound for notifications. Still have a persistent ding, ding, ding... So I rebooted the phone. Still happening. I turned off the phone, switched back on. Still happening. The only way I can stop it is to use silent or vibrate modes. If anyone has any ideas as to what's causing this, I'd love to hear from you!
