Go keyboard or SMS help

I just downloaded Go keyboard and Go SMS...love them both, but when typing a reply, I can't read the compose text due to the white letters and light blue highlight. I've looked in settings for both apps and it seems you can edit all other fonts but this one. Am I missing something?

Hi SHMOOPIE71!! Yes, you probably missing something, Go sms is highly configurable, keep looking, you will find it!!.Welcome to Android Forums!! Personally I like using the Handcent app, I like that emoji plugin with all the emotes!!
