Go SMS

I downloaded the Go SMS app and the Go SMS Emoji app but didn't really like it and uninstalled only about 5 minutes after downloading, except now Go SMS is sending me text messages and even downloading photos into my Gallery, how can I stop this?

Did you sign up for a GoSMS pro account and register for Go Chat? A few people appear to be having issues with that recently.

No I downloaded the free version as I do with everything that has a trial, but I didn't like it and I didn't sign up for an account or anything.

Wow. What happened to GoSms? That USED to be a great app.

Yeah, go contacts ex was good too until they started pushing spam advertising. I'm not against advertising, many of my apps include unobtrusive banners, but the go notifications were so irritating that I uninstalled all of their apps.

I had a read and it wasn't anything to do with AirPush or notifications, GoSMS literally sent me an SMS and also downloaded a photo into my gallery, this was after I'd uninstalled everything that had to do with GoSMS as well.

I don't get it. I use GoSMS daily, I've had none of this happen.

It sent a text to advertise itself when I got an upgrade once. I went into settings, turned off pro mode and that was the end of that.

Ok, this is a long shot, but I can't think of anything else and I don't think that things can get worse for you.

Re-install GoSMS.

Go into settings, Basic tab, Running mode and turn off the extra features, like this -



Then go through all of the settings and make sure that you are not opted in on anything.

Run it for one day.

See if that takes you off of whatever they put you on.

That's my best suggestion at this point.

Early Mon you just saved me the largest headache I have ever had. For days now I have been debating dropping Go SMS because of Go Chat and I couldn't figure out how to stay logged out of it. I had totally forgotten about the running modes of the app since I have been using it over a year now. Thank you so very much!
