    Sorry guys as much as i love this phone iam returning it at best buy and getting the moto droid again. It was working fine and all till today im getting nothing but static when making and receiving calls i got mine on launch and has been working fine till today. ill just root my droid and make it run at 1ghz at low volt which i heard is just as good once you do that. SO good to talk to you all

    Why not exchange for a new one? Sounds like a defective device to me.

    What is the point of telling us this? Do you want us to pity you that you have problems with the phone?
    --If you want help, ask for it! That's what this community is for! Don't whine about it... Have you even looked into the issue you are getting? Do you always give up on things so easily? You must be single, because there is no way you could be in a relationship with that kind of an attitude.

    Do you want us to talk you out of getting rid of it?

    Hope you aren't unlucky enough to get a bad Droid this time...what device will you switch to then?

    Seriously, all products are going to have defective units. Unless you have access to some statistics, avoiding a product because you ran into a bad unit once isn't going to save you much heartache. You could be fleeing to a product with an even higher defect rate.

    Sorry bud, but I have to agree with Nova. People who post everytime they wipe their butts add nothing to the forum. If you root the Incredible then post, but I dont care that you're changing phones...

    As a technician though, 99.9999% of the time that people want to replace the device is because of User Error. People who never owned a PDA and expect too much, dont know how to care and optimize it, expect it to be a desktop computer or people that add every app in the market and wonder why the battery drains quickly or gives your FC errors.

    You got a defective phone. Period. Return it to Best Buy and get a new one. Chances are you won't have the same problems with the 2nd one.

    Read reviews. Read this forum. The Incredible is a FANTASTIC phone. Are there lemons? Of course - there are lemons with EVERY electronic known to man, including the Motorola Droid.

    Don't give up on the Incredible just because you got a defective one.

    Boy. Thanks for the update. I was out walking my dog and I suddenly stopped mid-stride, asking myself "IS NEGGIE GOING TO KEEP HIS INCREDIBLE?!?"

    Now that I know, I can proceed with the memorial service and YouTube tribute video to your brief time with the Inc.

    Funny thing is returning for a moto Droid I got a kick out of that one. If I had a dime for every force close i see on my wifes Droid I would be rich. I have only seen a wait message 2 times for the week I have had this phone. Droid was a reg occurrence.

    It's kind of like those morons who give bad ratings to stuff because of user error or a defective unit; i.e. "Electronic Device was DOA, I understand this doesn't happen very often and that manufacturers aren't perfect, but I'll still give it 1 out of 5 stars."

    just swiped itout for another device and We are good to go new INC is working fine guess it was a defective unit then. on the customizing...
