i'm trying to create a google checkout account so i can purchase rom manager and other apps in the market, however it is only giving me the option to set up a sellers account. its asking for my business name and monthly income etc. i don't have a business and only want a buyers account to make purchases, is this not possible or should i just make up a business? i would rather just use paypal to buy rom manager but there is no option, i don't feel comfortable using my debit card. thanks

ok it seems as though after the first purchase google saves your cc info and maybe from then on its just one click purchases.

so there are no advantages to buyers....seems like google would have made it useful for buyers as well for an easy one click buying experience.

I've never actually bought an app before, so I don't know how simple/hard it is.

I've used Google Checkout a few times... it's basically a bare-bones PayPal.... just a way to pay with a credit card with the middle man (Google) keeping the CC info secret.

edit: this is just general online shopping; never tried buying an app with GC.

Even though my info prob out there , I always just use a prepaid CC, though I did mess up once and get one that did not support online purchases. Though my fault for not reading TOS .
Finally found a MC from Kroeger that google accepts and I get when i want something online.
