Basically, whenever I have the Google Maps app running, my phone gets incredibly hot. I'm talking to the point where I cannot leave it lying on my thigh because it just gets too painful, even through a full layer of pants.
I've checked and this issue occurs whether in the car or not, whether being charged or not, with the screen on or off, and definitely happens when not in direct sunlight.
After a lot of searching and forum-hunting, I'd thought I'd fixed my general battery / heating issues on my Pantech P8010 Flex when I finally upgraded to Android version 4.1.2 a few months back, but apparently this issue persists.
Is anyone familiar with this issue or know ways to go about resolving it? Thanks in advance.
