Help Google Play Music Issue

I have had an issue for the past 3 days (I thi k since the last Google Play Music update) where Google Play Music opens itself up in the background. I don't like this, as I try to conserve my battery as much as possible. And only yesterday it started to enable my 4G whenever it opens. I normally keep it off so my apps don't use it when I'm not using my phone. I use Google Play Music for my music. Is there any way to solve this? Is nayone else having the same problem?
