I just changed my googlemail account to gmail and all of a sudden I am getting a notification message "Google Talk failed to log in: If this is a Google Apps account, confirm that chat service is enabled for this account."

any ideas why, what or how????

I did have the same problem when i changed to gmail. It said failed to connect and so on but I solved it by factory reset.

Though I'm sure other people had another solution but I'm not quite sure there though. But the factory reset did solve the problem for me

changed my account back to googlemail and all seems Ok now, looks like it's an Android/Gmail thing that they need to sort out.

There is a note on the googlemail page about the gmail conversion that it causes problems with Android. They are working on a fix.
