    Anyone else having problems setting up Google Voice? It just stays at the screen that says "Reading Settings". It's been this way for at least 15 minutes

    Yeah, happened to me to. Turn off the phone and reboot. It'll be fine after that.

    But it just goes back to the original setup page. Do you just not set it up again?

    Mine won't do anything after it calls that really long number to set up voicemail.

    Same problem here....tried several times...finally gave up.

    Reboot does NOT fix the issue....just hangs at READING SETTINGS.

    Not sure what to tell you. After a reboot mine was fine. I did not have to set it up again.

    mine will not get past the "verify phone number" stage. It keeps failing there, guess I shall reboot.

    I'm having the same issue. By reboot do you mean cycle the power off and on? I've tried that and it still won't verify the phone. Very frustrating because GV is one of many reasons I'm going with Android.

    Go to voice.google.com and log in with your gmail acct. Then set it up from there. After that it worked great

    That did it, thanks! Also after the reboot, it got past the settings "freeze" and seems to work now.

    So the trick was to:
    1. Install the app
    2. Add the phone via the Google Voice website (www.google.com/voice)
    3. Reboot the phone
    4. Tada!

    I had this problem, and I think it's related to my bigger problem...

    I was able to get past it by verifying my number via a call from online, but I am not able to receive calls unless I make an outbound call.
