Still not working on my S4 (yet I hope)

Google Wallet update brings app to many more people

Someone posted a comment that it is working on their VZW phone.

Here's hoping, this is one of my most missed apps since my Galaxay Nexus ( I could side load it)

It will work for some features, but to do NFC payments it still needs to be on their list of supported devices.

Sigh, just read that. VZW sucks so much ... ..

Why don't you root your phone and install a custom recovery? As long as you're not on ME7, you can do this AND install Google Wallet. I did it on my VZW S4 and it works great!

I've been thinking about it. I'll probably do it this weekend. (I have the S4 dev edition so installing a custom rom isn't a issue:p )

It just ANNOYS me that VZW is blocking GW for greed reasons and not for technical reasons.

(and that google is being a panzy and allowing them)

I've seen some things on the Verizon website that may indicate an Isis rollout in the near future (a crappy substitute for GW, but an alternative for the non-rooted and ME7 users nonetheless). I've also seen on the link posted above that Google Wallet has been updated to work on more phones and carriers, but that VZW requires a special SIM card to use it (and Isis, BTW). I've ALSO seen that Google Wallet is showing my S4 as a supported device in the Play Store, but my Nexus 7 is not!

God, my head is starting to hurt again...stop this already!

Will Google wallet EVER be released outside the US? How long does it take to get it ready for other countries??

Screw IRIS, If the fate of the world depended on me using that app you would all die...

    $#@$# VZW.

If it wasn't for needing vzw specifically for work reasons and my "unlimited" data. I'd dump them in a second. And honestly I hate them so much I'd probably give up unlimited just to get away from them....

I hear that. Isis is a mess, and VZW would have no customers if they weren't so big. They're the 1980's IBM of the cellphone market right now (and we all know what happened to the "irreplaceable IBM PC).

    God I hope so...

The only real things saving VZW even now is their network(it really is the best) and their large user base.

Some say that by changing the build prop to the GPE it may work does any body have the info of the GPE so I can test it out.

There is info. over on XDA on how to do it and what to change it to.

I just got tired of "mouse and cat" game to keep it up to date.

I played the game for awhile on my GN and while I loved GW, it just got to be too much of a pain to get around VZW's constant BS.

In this case every time they update the app you need to go in and change the build.prop just to update...

ok, so I downloaded Google Wallet yesterday. With my GS3 I had to be rooted to use this.

So, last night I downloaded Wallet on my GS4 and I was able to log in. I was able to look at all my past purchases from the GS3. So, is this supported now? Will I be able to use my GS4 to make purchases?

The Google Wallet update from a while back removed the device restriction on installation only. Tap and pay is still a carrier/phone dependent feature. VZW is still unsupported in that aspect.
