Got a Red Star notification

Not long ago I got a notification with a Red Star. It said you can get free games and accidently tapped the notification. The browser came up and I tried to backout and then something strage happened. When I backedout my Youtube app opened with some sort of video then my gallery and finally my music.

Could I have gotten some sort of Spyware on my phone?

Not malware but you do have adware on your phone. I'm pretty sure it's from a company called AirPush.

Also if you check the comments for the apps you have installed, you would very likely see complaints about it for the one using that kind of advertising.

If you find the app and uninstall it, the notifications will go away.

Thank you for the usefull info and for the greeting . I downloaded the AirPush Detector and deleted the app (which was gmail widget).


It seems that i solved my problem and I hope this thread will help others
