Well, got my 3rd DX. This one seems fine. So how do I go about restoring it to my current DX I'm sending back?
    I had root.
    I had run backup assistant
I had google account backed up
I have titanium backup and created a fresh backup.

    What to do 1st?
    1) I'm assuming I need to re-root.
    2) Install titanium
    3) run titanium restore
    4) run backup assistant

    Is this the proper way?

If you're rooted, the most complete backup/restore is with Bootstrapper and Clockwork Mod Recovery.

I moved this into the root section for you. Many, if not most of the folks out there, may not be able to help you with root issues.

Firstly, re-root. I'd use z4root z4root - Android app on AppBrain . It's painless and free. You can root easily without using your computer. :)

Then, s ^^^ said, install and run DX bootstrapper and ClockworkMod Recovery from Rom Manager.

After that, from Rom Mgr, hit manage and restore backups. If you had a rom or theme backed up. Hit restore. If not, just go to the next step....

Next, install titanium and in settings hit "batch", then hit "run restore missing apps with data" . It will show you all the apps you backed up. Make sure the ones you want are checked. (They all start checked. I don't want them all so I uncheck many, your call.)

Hit "run the batch operation" at the top. Everything will be restored. :)

Ask more questions if you have any. :)

Steven58, I'm assuming he is swapping out his SD card? (Old card to new X).
