    Hi there,
I've searched the forums and haven't been able to locate a similar question.
I'm with the UN in Port au Prince, Haiti. Google Maps is a great app for the U.S., but what I'm looking for is a GPS app that will allow me to save and use without a cell or wi-fi signal and, most importantly, allow me to name and save points. I would like to be able to mark, name & save various IDP camps and then have the ability to get directions back to them from various point in the city.
Is there an app out there that will let me do that or do I need to invest in a full-fledged Garmin or Tom Tom type system?

For that task, I use two apps in combination:
Hiking Diary for logging the locations only with GPS and no need of a mobile data connection.
In this app, every time I can look and navigate to this logged locations with the aid of an offline navigation app (or with Google Maps, if I like :) ).
As offline navigation I use Navigon.

EDIT: ... and the very easy way with using only the Navigon app: Save your locations as favourites :)
