Help gps issues

i would like to know why when i open my navigation app and put a address in it says searching for gps signal for 5 minutes before it will pull up a route. p.s my gps is on

Have you tried clicking on network assist under GPS settings? That may help cut that down some. Also I have heard using GPS toolbox, I believe that's the name of it, from the market has helped some as well.

GPS Test is good, it has a setting to Clear AGPS info and update AGPS info.

Also if your on Stock EL29 its known to have GPS issues.
Search the forums for different modems.
I am running Stock Rooted EL29 ROM/Kernel with FC15 Modem and all is great with my device.

That link above has everything you need to know about flashing different modem.bins which may should improve your GPS. You do need to be rooted however.
