    Hi

I have and use several apps to track myself when out hiking. However, when I lose cell service, I'm no longer able to view the maps. Is then an app that will let me download maps to my phone so I don't get lost out there?

    THANKS!!!

    Try backcountry navigator.

Rmaps will load your downloaded maps.
You need to download and create them with another program but it works great.

I use all 3 and each one has it's advantages and disadvantages. They aren't free, but you won't be stuck someplace hoping your signal magically comes back either i.e, Google Maps.
