GPS on mini proGeneral

    Hey all,
    :)

    can't find any posts about GPS on this phone?
    Has anyone managed to lunch not assisted gps, that works properly offline?

    I wonder why nobody answered but OK. Look in Android prefereces. There is an submenu with Security and position or so {I don't use english localisation}. First option is Assisted localisation and seccond is pure GPS. Just turn off assisted localisation and that's all!

    I have not gotten this to work either... it just sits there waiting for a location. The app GPS Status seems a bit more lively in terms of signal...

    I live in the city, lots of concrete...maybe thats why :confused:

    I would also be interested to hear under what conditions the GPS (not A-GPS!) actually works...

    I just tested it at sea. It works quite well and was quick to find a satelite.

    I think it is often more a question of the map applications being rather strictly configured to use a-gps... much because they are made for downloading the map image at the same time...

    mine is running Copilot Live 8 and works a treat, not tried the bundled software though.

    I can only use my GPS on WIFI (because of my carrier)..
    Its useless for me :)

    i use NavDroyd...
    the best nav tool for me cause of the offline search...works almost perfect in Asia...:p
    definitely worth the price!:D
