So -- I've conquered root and the lag fix (Excellent btw -- 2200+ quadrant score). So I thought i would tackle gps. I'm inside the house right now, did the quick fixes and ran the test.

I'm locking on to 7-8 satellites in about 40-50 seconds with 5 meters accuracy. Is this good? Should I be looking for more satellites in less time?

Unless you're lost when you're walking around your house, don't think it should matter thatttttt much.

Exactly. Also if you are in any way using wifi its also no good.
Not to be cynical but chances are you will not be the one to find a magic fix.what works on some phones (or more than likely, some areas) doesn't work on others, not to mention that all fixes only seem to be temporary at best.
In reality we are probably waiting on samsung for a fix.
