A little revamp. This is actually the official Sprint belt clip holster. Just found out from the ebay seller, and I just found it for $12.60 on Amazon instead of the $17 they're charging for it now on ebay or $20 from Sprint.

This thing is perfect. Have zero desire to go for the Seidio one coming out. Very thin, perfect fit, felt to protect the screen, very secure yet easy to take out. I'm sold. Here's some good pics. Definitely one step above the $5 ones that will surface at some point.

Nice! If only they would come out with a rubberized case instead of a cover, this would be a done deal for me. Decisions, decisions!

what are you using to protect the back of the phone? Do you think there is a back piece that you can put on that would fit in this holster?? I'd like to get this but I'm not sure how the back of my phone will hold up exposed like that.

I use SPF 30. They say anything greater is just overkill.

Seriously though, it's a plastic battery cover. Why does it need protection? It's probably the part of the phone I worry the least about. If it gets scratched, scuffed or cracked I'd just buy a replacement.

Its not the cover I'm worried about, its the camera lens cover getting scuffed up when my fatness leans up against a coarse surface...lol! Otherwise, I'm sold on this holster! :D

I've used facing in holsters since I got my first Treo and have never scratched a lens. But I'm sure there's always a first time. I've never worried about it. If it does worry you you can always just go with a leather pouch type case.

I have the sprint galaxy s leather case but the belt clip isn't secure. I almost lost it yesterday at work. That's why I'm looking for an alternative for that. I def want a holster with spring clip but ialso want to protect my phone. I would get the seidio innocase but have read that it loosens up the sliding mechanism.

in checking out cases in general, many thinner ones will probably fit in the Innocase holster from Seidio. No rule you have to use their cases in their holsters. Don't know if one case is better than the other for snapping on to the edges of the phone, but I just found this one on ebay. Seems like it's one of the "barely there" type cases. More like a case for the minimalists. I'll probably check it out for the sake of checking it out and post on it. Like the idea of those cases in general and unlike the one for the Evo and other slate phones, you get corner and edge protection all around.

And I posted a link for the Sprint holster at Amazon for $12.60. Even cheaper yet.

Just got this from a Sprint Retailer for $16.00 (after taxes)

Exactly what I was looking for. Quality is great, Fit is snug and perfect.. couldn't be happier! Should be the only case I need.

Ha ha, takes for the pic, too. Doesn't look like it is adjustable to horizontal.

It has that ratcheting movement to it to take it horizontal.

For those that have this holster, will the phone fit with some type of a skin on it? Is there any room or is the fit too tight?

It might but I think it's tight enough you'd screw up your skin at the bottom after awhile.

will this case work with the screen facing out? I know that this sounds strange, but I have an outward facing holster for my Moment and I really like it.... I work construction and I have not had a problem with it, but I do have a screen protector...

I use a really thin case (like the barely there type) and the Seidio holster for their innocase cases. The thinner case on the phone gives enough room in the holster to have it face out. I use a small foam square under the top spring clip and it tightens up the fit nicely. I use it face out when I'm wearing scrubs and just want to be able to glance down and see what's going on. If you're working construction, thethin case might be a plus. I hardly notice it's there.
