Greetings Android Enthusiasts,

I'm completely 100% (clueless) new... ha.. ha.. ha...

From the land of BlackBerry's and iPhones, using AT&T as my carrier, I'm more than ready for a nice Android device. Sadly it seems that the upcoming Samsung Captivate is locked down with all the dreadful AT&T stuff. Yikes! I have cash in hand, really want to buy this new model, so my question is...

How hard is it to rid the phone of the AT&T stuff, or the majority of it. So I can use it like a free Android phone should be used?

Any input is greatly appreciated... Thanks!

Or point me towards the right section, / thread here.

Cheers...:)
