I'm on a desperate search for a good gtd (getting things done) app for the G1.

I've found talk of something called shuffle on the android development board but cannot, for the life of me install it on the g1.

i've looked at the various quasi gtd apps TooDoo, Astrid etc) in the market but none of them really is the full deal.

ideally i'd like the g1 to run a tiddlywiki (any chance of that) but i'd appreciate any tips or links anyone has.

I'm pretty sure I read that Astrid was based on GTD. I've downloaded it but haven't checked it out yet for full features. Might be worth a try

as i said in original message I had tried Astrid. I preferred TooDoo more but having been a tiddlywiki boy I really can't go back to something withut that sort of functionality. and ultimately I don't think paying is an option. It's purely a matter of time until there's something good on the android platform. just not good at waiting.

When did you last try Astrid? It keeps getting extra functions added with each update. Also you can e-mail the dev with requests.

I guess you've already seen it, but Remember the Milk have just launched an Android App. You have to "go pro" to use it ($25 a year) but having used Astrid, Shuffle and Action Complete and liked them all, but "Something" was missing - I've paid the money, and think RTM is pretty much the best of the bunch.

I like the ability to key tasks / create lists on my PC rather than my handset - although in some ways the simpler interface on the handset is easier, the soft keyboard makes it a bit too slow for me.

There's a good article here (note written before the Android / iPhone apps were released) on how to configure RTM to a very workable GTD system:
    Remember The Milk - Blog

Astrid / Shuffle and Action Complete were all really good (and free) - and I've just read a favourable review for DoIt (by Curvefish) which may be worth a go too.

    Hope this helps

As for RTM... Astrid can sync with RTM for FREE so no need to pay for the pro version of RTM.
