    hello

ive spent alot of time googling and searching the board but cannot find my fix. i have a rooted phone that i cannot receive mms through handcent. i deleted my stock message app after rooting and seemed to have no trouble receiving mms but now i am receiving nothing. so far i have done a factory wipe, dalvik wipe, reloaded the rom. 3g is activated. deleted all texts (2000) to no avail. i am not too knowledgable so if the terminology is a bit off, my apologies.

is there anyone who can help me in laymans terms to start to retrieve mms?

    please and thank you.

    steve

Recently I had a problem where Handcent wasn't retrieving MMS messages. I discovered that in the Handcent settings, there is an option to receive them automatically which was not selected. I don't know if this was the result of an update or if I accidentally did it (I don't think I did though), but it may be the same for you.

Open Hancent, go to Menu>Settings>Receive Message Settings and under "MMS retrieval settings" see if the Auto-retrieve box is checked.

I didn't delete the stock messaging app but renamed it *.bak. Handcent would not send or receive an mms without the stock app available. Which kind of sucks if you happen to use blacklists. What good is blacklisting in Handcent but have it still visible in the stock mms application. Needless to say, I am deleteing handcent.
