Root Handcent Timestamp Problems

So has anyone figured out how to.fix the timestamp problem on 2.2 in handcent? I only just got the.problem after a restore. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I cleared data and cache. Set offset to 0. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas guys. Other threads/ forums don't have any answers.

this is what fixed mine:

1. remove handcent
2. make sure you have message.apk and conversations.apk in your system/app folder
3. install handcent (make sure new version)

After putting the 2.2 leak on my phone, I also had this issue. Then, Handcent was updated for 2.2 support and I haven't had the problem since. I didn't have this problem when running FlyX either. Did you update Handcent after the restore?

Handcent update fixed the timestamp's being off, but my texts are still out of order.

I had the same problems as well. The handcent update was released, fixed my timestamps for me. It seems to me the app has a mind of its own, I swear one second everything is updated with correct timestamp and in correct order, and the next second I open the app everything has shifted around.

The "being out of order" thing seems to stem from 2.2 itself... Mine were like that even using the stock messaging app.

Yeah, unfortunately I experienced it when it first leaked, so I went back to 2.1, after the handcent update I thought it fixed it so I went back to 2.2, and now realize handcent didn't fix it
