    Just like the title says I'm wondering if Anyone has Activated a Google I/O Phone With Their Current Sprint #. I'm getting mine tomorrow and although the free month is nice, I'd rather have current # on the phone.

    I activated an EVO with my number. Very easy just call the number on the paper that came with the phone. I ported over from Verizon and I have been very happy with the overall services.

    Isnt it also possible to activate it on your existing number online?

    So i am guessing there wont be a problem with all these phones being sold early on EBAY.

    Man would that be funny if Sprint wont let them activate it on their own account.

    i heard rumors of 30% but someone who picked up an I/O evo mentioned that it was 16%

    I called Sprint and they said they would move it over with no problem. They did inform me that the cost of the Evo would increase my plan by $40 dollars. $30 for the hotspot and $10 for the 4G internet.

    It's -$10 per month. Essentially negating the data fee.

    Did you get the $10 discount?

    Does it stack with normal corporate discounts? If so, I may end up buying one off ebay. :)

    I saw the number on someone paper, through an ebay picture..It seems like a special line, because when i called it someone directly answered, so i guess they have been expecting the I/O attendees to call and start a contract.. You better believe when i get my I/O EVO, i will be activating it to my line and hope that they apply the discount and if they ask any of you guys just say i was at the I/O LMAO!!!!!

    I think i just might have it activated for the free 30 days first, AND DONT FORGET YOU GET THE 4G HOT SPOT FREE FOR THOSE 30 DAYS.. Im going to take advantage of that, because i doubt ill be adding that to my original plan.. Plus since i already reserved an EVO at the Shack i have to keep my current phone because when i go in 13 days to pick it up they have to activate it to my line.. It would just look weird if i went there with an EVO to pick up an EVO LMAO!!!! :p

    I've had no luck getting mine activated. I'm new to sprint and after being transfered around I finally get an account established which is what the guy told me I needed. Called back the direct number and the woman couldn't get it to activate on my account and said i had to wait till june 4th?? I'm wondering if its because i dont have a phone number yet. I have an old pre lying around, i think i might try to put that on my account and get a phone number and try again.

    You have to call the special #, they will help you through trust me

    I just tried calling them again. After getting a phone number attached to my account. The guy just told me they can't activate on my line till the 4th.

    are you calling the special 877# or are you calling the regular sprint customer service line?

    Don't say you need it activated say you need to port your existing number to the new phone.. the guy I talked to was GREAT and we ended up having about a 30 minute conversation about android and other things.

    I have tried to activate on my line numerous times. They are actually being dicks about it now. I just hope they let us activate on the 4th.

    What do they tell you when you try to activate it?

    Are you using the free line right now that came with the phone?

    I activated mine yesterday- so they closed out the demo line I used for one day so esn was used instead of new to perserve my upgrade due in July and moved the evo to my existing line. I think because it took 30 mins agents arent happy to do it.
