Root Having issues with SU Request

Just rooted my phone last week (Thanks to the GOD'S in here) and I have been searching around the forums for an answer to my question about the SU Request error and it seems that I am doing everything correct having USB debugging checked but I still get the error. Oh and what is the superuser icon used for

Edit....never mind....I got it to work...I just rebooted and when I hit # superuser this came up:

+10066:10066:0:0 /system/bin/sh

how did you fix this? I'm going to wipe my phone tonight when I get home to see if this resolves the issue.

I get force closes/random issues as well. If i use Ivan's rom I can't use Drocap2 and some other root programs. If I use evileris it's fine.. no clue....
