HDR Camera Mode

Just thought of something that annoys me with the Razr Maxx. Anyone know how to keep HDR from being the default mode when you bring up the camera? Does anyone actually like it? I would rather have Single Shot as the default being HDR just takes too long to capture an image which can lead to blurring.

Don't own a Moto anything, but on my phone I went to Settings and changed things to my preferences.

Then I backed out of Camera completely. After that, it always came up with my preferences retained.

I haven't found a setting to permanently fix.
