Headset for desire no good for music?

Hey, I got desire. Awesome phone. My question is regarding headset you get with the phone.

Like every other headset I got with phone it appears to have music control buttons but they won't work with music application that's built in to the phone. What I mean exactly is non of the button on headset does anything like pause/play, forward or backward however it does work for hanning up calls u make. Is it suppose to not work with music or something wrong with mine?

Never had a problem with mine working. My only complaint is that the controls can't be locked, so if I want to move the wire, I've found myself gripping the control box, and accidently moving the tracks on.

Annoying if you're in the middle of a cool tune.
