So I have my Droid mounted essentially in front of one of the vents in my car. When I have the heat going, the Droid heats up and SetCPU clocks the processor down. Any ideas on heat shield material that I can put on the dock in order to shield the phone from the heat? I'm not sure if regular heat shield foil will work, or if special electronics heat shield foil is available.

+1. get a jacket, lose a $200 phone? get a jacket, lose a $200 phone? on a more serious note, i would close that vent or keep the heat off as heating up an oc'ed droid can be real bad.

You could also make the heat come out of the floor/defrost vents instead of the dash vents.

Yea, this is the main reason I would never shell out for a ProClips setup, as it would be positioned in the same way. About the only thing that would really make a difference iss just turning that vent off. Even closed you're still going to get some heat, but it won't be near as bad.
