So I'm a smart-phone latecomer. I was one of the first people to own a cell phone (a Motorola brick) but always considered the primary function of a phone was to make calls. Music, E-mail, video, all pointless. Who wants to watch TV on a tiny screen? I'm not much of an Apple fan either and tend to use open-source software where possible, so the iPhone left me fairly cold. Then a few weeks ago, I researched Android phones and bought an HTC Hero expecting to be impressed by the technology but at the same time, unlikely to get much use from the bells and whistles. Well that thought quickly went out of the window... now I'm addicted, and I even "tweet". I'm based in the UK and my provider is T-Mobile, but I bought an unlocked phone from Amazon.
