    Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and to the G1. I am not a developer of Apps, but am working on learning to use my new phone. I just purchased the G1 on 5-15-09. I am generally happy with my purchase, except for finding out that I cannot (or perhaps, I just have not discovered it) listen to internet radio etc. I have not been able to find a Flash that is compatible with the Android. What suggestions do all of you have for me. I am not tech savvy, however my husband and two grown sons are : )

I look forward to learning more about my Android here on this forum. Thanks for enfolding me into your community.

First off Welcome to the Forums...

As for your radio/flash question.... Flash player is currently still being tested for the phone and has not been released yet so no you can not install flash player... As for streaming radio there are more than a few apps in the market that do the task... Just connect to your market and type in radio and should pull up a list... if not you can browse them here Cyrket - Search: 'radio' but you will still have to download from the market on your phone...

Thanks for your reply. I will check out Market again. I have downloaded several apps already but guess I missed searching for 'radio'. I have more to learn about the G1. One of my sons (lives in N. Dallas) has the G1 and my other son and husband both have the newer Blackberrys. I chose the GI because it just seems more user friendly and I like the larger screen area and keyboard. I have been enjoying my visit here on the forum and have viewed some of the videos.

Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

Another trick: Just use Cyrket to search for an app... then once you see the app you want ... use Another App named "Barcode Scanner" ...

On the Cyrket page you will see a Large square bar-code .... scan that code and it will give you the direct link to the market ... you can then click that link and begin the download & Install from the scanner ...

Make sure to scan in portrait orientation if you are using any 3rd party software that rotates the display ... or the bar-code MAY not scan ....

If I may...I'd like to recommend you search up StreamFurious or AntPlayer...

Those are 2 very good Streaming Radio apps that I use...

StreamFurious would be the better of the 2 in my opinion...
