I cant watch any videos on the internet with my evo. It sometimes loads like 30 seconds of video and then it says cant connect server, other times it just sits at the black screen with the loading bar circle and then after a while it says cant connect to server.

Has anybody else had this same problem?
Anybody know any fixes for this?

Have you tried it on wifi?

Yup, still does the same thing.

At first I thought that there was something wrong with the site, but the video plays on my ipod touch.

I had something similar where I couldn't view flash videos. I had to go to the default browser, hit menu, select more, scroll down to Reset to default, and it worked fine again.

Is there a sample web site giving the problem that you can post the link for here?

A long press on the url will let you copy it to your clipboard.

I just watched "Busy offseason for Patriots" - it's on their side - and my fix may help.

First, mine hung at 24 seconds - just as you said.

I tried that same mobile browser site on my desktop and noticed that at 24 seconds, the video - and my network traffic (I'm monitoring that) - stuttered - then played.

    Back to the Evo.

So - I tried to back out then in - probably same as you - no soap.

Then, I came back in to that vid, and as soon as it started playing, I tapped the menu button and hit "Replay". It forced it to buffer it differently somehow and then it worked.

This won't help for the videos that never start - for those, back out, try to relaunch and then Replay.

I guess we either hope for desktop browser robustness or for their web site to not stutter.

Meanwhile - please let me know if this helps as a workaround.

(PS - if this works for you, you'll see that stuttering in the vid I'd mentioned - that happens on the desktop view of that mobiles site, too - it's them.)

Right now the videos won't start. I will try some more later and some other sites as well.

Thanks for your help, hopefully this works.

What browser are you using? Dolphin HD is the one i use and most websites with flash on it, i have no problems with.

Okay when the video loads, hitting menu and then replay, works perfectly.
Also Dolphin browser allows the video to load more often than the stock browser.

    Thanks for your help guys.
