Root Help - Extracted /system/xbin contents and didnt chmod

Well I messed up pretty bad. I had froyo 2.2 loaded up and rooted etc and decided I wanted the scripts from /system/xbin that I extracted from NexBeast. I made a zip and transfered it over to the phone and extracted it into /system/xbin. The part I messed up on was not chmod the files so it appears that su isnt executable. None of my rooted programs run and I cannot su in the terminal window. I tried adb but I am getting permissions issues there too. I cannot mount the file system as RW either. Permission denied. I also cannot boot into recovery. I hold down x and it never gets past the initial M screen. The phone will boot if I allow it to but I appear to be locked out. HELP! Thanks in advance.

you are going to have to flash the SPR sbf file to get recovery back and then you can fix the rest from there.

I get permission denied when I get to the su part....

C:\Users\Scott\Documents\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb shell

your getting that running these commands in adb?

adb push su /system/bin/su
adb shell "chmod 6755 /system/bin/su"
adb push Superuser.apk /system/app/Superuser.apk
adb shell "chmod 644 /system/app/Superuser.apk"




your running these while booted in recovery right?

Loading sprecovery via RSD. We'll see what happens.
