Help help! my epic 4g makes a weird sound whenever i talk to someone

Ok so whenever i receive a call and answer it or make a call, my phone starts making a weird sound, but the funny thing is that it doesnt happen when i put it into speaker mode. Can somebody help me?

Do you have an unread text message? If so, when you're on a call your phone will notify you while your on a call until you check it. You CAN turn this feature off but only if you use Handcent. Open up Handcent and press the menu button and tap settings. Tap Notification settings then on the next screen tap Notification Settings again, on the next screen scroll down to the bottom and uncheck 'Sound on call' and that should fix it.
