Last night I put the phone in airplane mode over night.
Apns were turned off when I did this. (I do this every night to save battery).

This morning, I turned airplane mode off, and tried turning Apn on again, but it wont turn on. (I use Extended Controls Bar widget)

I have done a soft reboot (3 actually), but that made no difference.

If i go to menu/settings/wifi and network, and look at the text next to the mobile network (Apn) checkbox it says: Connection failed due to incorrect APN setting.

I havent changed any settings as far as i know.

anyone have any ideas how to get it working again?

    It just turned on ok...

odd, as i have tried about 20 times since i got up with no luck.
Maybe it was an O2 problem, not my phone?

I had this problem and I think it was Juice Defender. I think it's related to a bug in the Desire/Nexus One firmware. I wouldn't advise using it.

In the end I had to go to the Network settings and restore the default APNs

    Go into APNs
    Press Menu
    Reset to Default

This particular issue is because of an O2 network issue.
