Root Help Please: Trying Root, and stuck..

When I try to root the phone, I'm supposed to flash it with RSD Lite, But when I hit start, it says. "Failed flashing process. Phone[0000]: Unable to retrieve initialzation values from INI file(0x7029)

I would need more info... Is RSDLite able to detect the phone? Is the phone in bootloader?

From what you said in your OP, it seems like it's the file that you have loaded in RSD Lite. What sbf file are you trying to flash?

Try giving us a little more info on what's happening. I've only flashed about a dozen times (several different phones) using RSD Lite, and I've never ran into that particular error.

It detects the phone, held down up and power button, trying to load VZW_A855_ESD56_QSC6085BP_C_01.3E.01P_SW_UPDATE_03 so that I can root the phone again. I don't know if there is something on the 2.1 file that is blocking it.

Currently on my phone
Firmware = 2.1-update1
Baseband = C_01.3E.03P
Kernal = 2.6.29-omap1-g7fa8788
Android-build@apa26 #1
Build Number = ESE81

I must have messed something up somewhere...thinking in the 2.1 update somehow

did you update your computer with the most recent motorola drivers?

RSDLite4.6.7z--you will use this program one time to flash the sbf file for sprrecovery...You need to download winrar in order to unzip
