Root Help S-off MyTouch 4g

I need help. I've been trying to permanently root the mytouch 4g, but it seems that no matter what I do, I can't seem to get S-off on my phone. I've tried doing the youtube videos, and also tried doing it the unlocker's way. I've searched through this forum and they all seem to point to the same rooting methods. Can anyone help me to find a sure way to get S-off on the phone plz. I can get temp root, but then when I reboot and try the next it doesn't work. Thanks for any help in advance.

I don't know if this is part of those "same rooting methods," but this procedure worked for me:
TRUE PermaRoot and the ULTIMATE S=Off!!! Check this out even if you're rooted!!! - xda-developers

I agree with aysiu, the xda-developers method worked for me.
But you have to follow the instructions to the letter!!!
