Today I went to delete almost 3000 texts between me and my wife. The phone froze for about 45sec and as it was deleting all of those texts my wife texted me a new text. The new text was deleted with the rest but it still shows on my drop down and the messages app shows that I have one unread message. I have tried to simply clear it from the drop down. I have deleted all my data. I have stopped the service. I have restarted many times. The attached file is the text that does but doesn't exist as I see it on my drop down and you can see below that the messages icon with the 1 on it. This is a Galaxy S7, btw. Any help is greatly appreciated.
