I come to you from the Hero forum and I own a Hero, with that being said I had a buddy of mine (Droid Owner) check out my Hero running 2.1 and he decided it was time to root. We did some research and got his Droid rooted and installed Nandroid and completed a successful backup but the good news ends there. We choose the cyanogen stable rom 5.something the latest on for Droid and it appeared to flash correctly. After booting up the live wall papers work and phone seemed really fast but there was no market app and the phone seemed really striped down. We could not figure out how to the install the market or run the initial setup so we ended up flashing back to stock with Nandroid which worked well. Dose anyone have any ideas on what went wrong?:confused::confused:

you need to install this as a zip

    gapps-passion-EPE54B-signed.zip

If you used rom manager you should have chosen to install google apps. If not Im not sure why this wasnt included in the rom you got.
