Hi all. This is my first post here. I have been reading for the last 2 weeks and finally got my HTC Hero the other day. I am in LOVE with it!!!!!

BUT....i cannot work out how to play a film on it? I am being really stupid but i cannot find a video player to even select my film. I am a little lost.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks a lot.

Select "Albums" within All Programs, click "All videos" and slide across to the video you want to play (if you have more than one) and tap on it and it's play in landscape view.

On my current set up I also have "Albums" on one of my desktops, so can just click into it from there.

Thanks for that. I have just downloaded it :)

I think the problem is that I have an avi file and research has shown the htc does not support avi so I am guessing that is why I am unable to recognise let alone play my video. What a pain. Are there any apps or anything available for this?

As standard the Hero plays the video formats MPEG-4, H.263, H.264 and Windows Media

Thanks all for your help! I am getting there (slowly!).

Cheggerspop, I have gone into albums but I do not even have an option for all videos. I have camera shots, all photos and all downloads. I am assuming this is because I have not got any recognisable videos on the SD card to pu in an album?

Tomorrow I wil look for the MP4 converter. Thanks a lot.

You should be able to find videos or video converters (HandBrake for example) for the iPhone/iTouch.

These videos will work fine on the HTC (from Albums).

Thanks so much! As simple as that is, it is not obvious and not in the manual (that I could find)!
