Good points... Wouldn't titanium backup save them? It's been a while since I did a nandroid restore, but I think that when I ran titanium backup it restored all of my shortcuts. Or alternately, if you use helix launcher - won't titanium backup also backup up its data (shortcuts)?

You know, I don't know if Titanium Backup would include shortcuts like that with the home backup, I haven't tested that. The navigation issue (having to bounce back and forth between the dialer and my home screen) was enough for me to abandon direct dial shortcuts pretty early on.

This looks very helpful and nice! Thanks for this! I am going to go download it now. I hope it registers all numbers in your phone(I.E. the contacts you've synced from facebook) and not just the ones you manually added yourself.

In my experience it finds any contacts on your phone, doesn't care how they got there...

When I downloaded it, it only found the numbers I added manually :/ So I won't be using it.

How do you remove the dialer one icon that stays in the notification bar?
