hero signal problems on three(uk)

hi all
i`m new to this forum and i know its been asked before but is there any definitive answer to signal strength problems with the hero ?
i bought mine in feb this year and the signal strength has been problematic since day one.
the other day i was standing next to my friend who has a nokia n95 on the same network- his phone had 5 bars and mine had no service!!

Hi,

I must admit compared to my previous handset, the E71 the signal strength is not as good, often reverting to 3G as opposed to H coverage.
I am sure i remember the aerial for the handset is in the base/bottom of the handset and remember hearing this could cause "some" issues.......
