I bought the Droid as soon as it came out and proceeded to root it when it was possible. My Droid X should arrive today so who needs a warrantee anyway :)

Welcome to the Android Forums! Actually, accidents can and do happen, I say root is good and all, but go ahead and familiarize yourself with how to unroot just in case. You never know, you may get a suicidal Droid who wants to end it all by taking a leap into a mud puddle.

Yup. I usually back up to the third generation including the original EPROM just in case. Only got locked up once on the Droid. Incremental changes not revolutionary ones just in case. Been messing with computers since the mid-70's. Thanks for the reminder though.
