Hi there, my name is Baker. I'm from western MA and I use Sprint on my Hero. Unfortunatly I live in the one county that doesn't have 3G coverage yet which blows.
Just joined the Forums yesterday. I got my HTC Hero for Christmas about 4 months ago. I've been reading threads on this site for the last week or so and finally joined yesterday. I'm really glad I found this site because it is so helpful...I've been researching new apps and how to use my phone to it's full potential and any advice on cool/helpful apps is great as well as tips and tricks.

Thanks, I am...this place is great over the past couple of days I have picked up so many tips and tricks and now I am passing them on to my father who picked up a Hero because he was jealous. Lol...This site has completely opened my eyes to the full potential of the Android OS. Can't wait for the 2.1 update though!

Thanks for the welcome...Yeah, I love the phone...very few complaints with it...I'm just not sure on how to tap it's full potential yet, I'm sure that I'm only scratching the surface on it yet...What size Micro SD card did you use...I hear that if you use a larger one that the phone will move faster, do you know if that's truth or false...

I only ordered an 8GB SD Card as I couldnt have afforded anything larger at the time. I haven't noticed any difference in phone speed between the 4GB which came with my phone as opposed to the 8GB, but with such a small change, maybe i may not have noticed. And as for what you said about your father being jealous, my friends were the same.. none of them knew about Android devices as they're not a geek like me, but when i showed off my Hero (YES I DID SHOW OFF, LOL) they all went flocking for it.

I live in a little hick town in the Berkshires and whenever I take out my phone my friends are like "What is that?" I start to show it off to them and I can see they just don't understand because probably about 60% of the people in my town have prepaid old school Nokia phones because this place is just the pits. LOL. But my friend went to Vegas and called me black out drunk at midnight one night and goes, "Hey, get out your super phone and tell me out to get to the MGM Casino I can't find my way down the strip!" Lol...it's a Super Hero to him it got him to where he needed to be from across the country haha.

Hi I'm Kaz from NYC, and I'm a techie at heart. I have a iPhone 3G and have been waiting for a serious upgrade either through a next generation iPhone or a new Android device. I thought of going to Sprint this summer because of their new EVO device coming out - I love the specs, but their network is shotty in Westchester where I live so I decided not too. Then this week I was happy to see that Verizon is going to finally release the HTC Incedible - which is close to the specs of the EVO, so I'm planning my escape from AT&T towards the end of the month.
