if you are a developer, then great, welcome aboard.

If you are new to developing, then I would think about rooting before you jump into it.

If you root, you lose warranty.
Also you could brick your phone, which is soemthing that warranty doesnt cover.

Also if you root, then there might be a chance you wont get the froyo ota update, unless your root back to stock, or someone in the community here makes it a rom.

I just got a MyTouch Slide about 2 weeks ago and I love it!
I'm here to start developing apps for android.

I'm having some problems rooting my phone right now but I'm sure I will get it to work eventually.... I got to the clockwork recovery once but exit and now it never catches in loop :(
