Hi. First time Android user, longtime smartphone user. I've gone from Sidekicks (1, 2, 3) to Treo 650p to Windows Mobile 6 to iPhone (1st Gen, 3G, 3GS, all of them jailbroken and unlocked). Now I use a Moto Droid.
The Droid won me over due to the less draconian app approval, tha availability of a one year contract, and (most importantly) a reliable network that doesn't collapse anytime you get a high density of geeks in one area. I got tired of every tech conference I went to having great signal strength but no quality.
I liked my iPhones a lot, but I'm digging my Droid, and I'm hoping my year with it will be a good one.
