I just enabled wifi calling on my Samsung Galaxy S 4G. Is there any way to make it so that the wifi calling application doesn't show at the top?

I don't know - I just turned WiFi calling off, and figure I can turn it on if I need it.

Well it works with oncoming calls to, so kind of hard to use it on demand like that.

Hundreds will have to deal with the icon there.

True....and I've been in places with a weak signal, but a good WiFi connection. Notification icons are annoying when you can't control them. Maybe there's a different app you could find instead of the stock app? It's worth a look.
