    Hi All,

I've spent the last 2 hours listening to a mix of mp3's that were either pre-loaded onto my sd card and that I've added to it myself (40-60 split) and I've noticed on 3G watchdog that my usage has shot up 40% odd!

Why has this happened when I'm listening to stuff from my sd card?

I have installed the last.fm app for what it's worth, is it doing soemthing it shouldn't be?

I've had a look in my task manager and there is nothing obvious running that shouldn't be, if that makes sense...

    Any help?

i am not up on lastfm, or 'scrobbling', but afaik it recommends other tracks based on your usage, thus is constantly sending data to and fro... however, it is doing exactly as it should, by all accounts

When I play my music I've noticed a Last.fm message in the notification bar which says 'Now Scrobbling'. If I click on that it takes me to information about the artist which it has presumably downloaded while I was playing the track.

It hasn't really bothered me as my data plan has a high limit but I've just checked the Last.fm settings and it is possible to turn this off. Just untick 'Scrobble Android Player'.

OKily dokily, I'll untick the option for scrobbling and report back.

    Cheers

I've just noticed that there is also an option for 'Scrobble only on Wi-Fi'.

I've rebooted and all seems back to normal now....really weird. I can only imagine that once I unticked the scrobbling option, that the phone needed to be rebooted???

or maybe just the app restarted? Either way, restarting the fone every so often is hardly onerous
