I had my phone charging at my desk when I suddenly noticed a high pitched whine/chirping coming from somewhere. I was quickly able to pinpoint it -- it's my charger.

I did a Google search and it seems to be a fairly common issue with AC wall chargers.

I'm just curious, is this something I should be concerned about? While it's annoying, I can certainly put up with it until I can have Verizon replace it but I don't want to have to stress about some electrical surge nuking my phone.

Thanks for any and all input!

EDIT: Oh, just now the charging finished and as soon as it did (mind you it's still plugged in) the noise ceased.

Its normal. It just a small high frequency transformer inside making the noise.
