    Yes, good news, but in order to get on that bandwagon, we need to get to the Android versions starting with Froyo (where the fragmentation is set to begin), which we probably won't. I'm pretty sure Eclair is the last stop for Galaxy.

    hey, we havent seen any froyo now, and gaosp project is still a child, when it matures these guys will have learned a lot about the device and maybe porting could be just fun. but all this is just guessing, time will show....

    i was trying to point out your backward statement - the froyo is where the fragmentation is set to end (or start decreasing, strictly speaking), not begin (perhaps you meant to say defragmentation?)

    I meant fragmentation of the system components, that begin to be updated independently. Maybe I misused the word, sorry.

    Anyway, we understand now what we both meant )

    I think we might be able to pull off getting the phone to froyo. If we do it will just be a huge relief because we won't need to worry about huge updates and waiting on samsung.
