So i had my 2.01 rooted with super permisions, but never got around to installing busy box, custom recovery and all that stuff, i just couldnt figure it out.

then i updated to 2.1 and my super permissions is still in the apps, but its pretty clear the root isnt working for me.

i looked up how to root 2.1 and the guides say if i upgraded my root from 2.01 to 2.1 and try to 2.1 root it could mess things up.

so my question is.. what can i do to "re root" my droid. so i can install a custom os?

btw, what OS is the best functional stable os out there?

Well your not getting a custom "OS" (Operating System) Your getting a custom rom. And everyone has there personal choice. So just try a few. As for your little mess up. You wil need to follow the guide in do t fear about bricking thread and use the sbf to get back to 2.0.1. And thata the only way i think there is right now. As the new 2.1 has not been rooted yet
